Cash on Delivery (C.O.D.)

  • It does NOT require a SSL certificate installed in the server.
  • Transaction Type supported: N/A
With this method the customers create an order without inputting any the credit card number or any other type of payment and they pay when the goods arrive to them.
Normally the Payment Gateway sends an email to both Customer and Merchant as soon as the order is complete.
Because in this case there is no Payment Gateway involved you might want to set up a Confirmation Email.
To set up this method you have to go to the Payment Type and tick the option Cash on Delivery.
Within this method you could set up the following:
  • In which countries you want to accept payments using this method;
  • Adding Extra Costs to the Total to Pay;
These settings are in Payments --> Cash on Delivery.
In the checkout page, customer selects a type of payment:
Once the order is completed the customer is redirected to the Invoice page (this page is accessible from the main menu in admin mode)
To see the Order's details go to the Orders Management
When the order is complete an email to both customer and merchant will be sent if a Confirmation Email is activated.
